Practise Korean with an AI tutor that explains why
Korean puts the verb at the end and builds meaning with particles and endings. The particles change with the sound before them, and the endings change with who you are talking to. YaP is the place to practise between your lessons, ask the questions you didn't have time for in class and learn the Korean that matters to you.

Standard Seoul-based Korean
YaP teaches Standard Korean (표준어), based on the Seoul dialect. This is the Korean you see in K-dramas, on national news, and in textbooks. It is the right target for TOPIK exams and for working with Korean companies.
Regional dialects (Gyeongsang, Jeolla, Jeju) are not supported as a target. The tutor will recognise them but will reply in Standard.

What a session looks like
After class. Your teacher covered object particles tonight and it half made sense. You open a lesson and ask for more examples. Then you ask why your teacher said 커피가 좋아요 but the textbook has 커피를 좋아해요, when both mean you like coffee. The tutor explains that 좋다 describes a state, so coffee is the subject and takes 이/가 (roughly "coffee is good to me"), while 좋아하다 is an action verb, "to like", so coffee is its object and takes 을/를. It gives you a few more to try and corrects you as you go. The lesson is saved with a date and a description, so you can find it again before next week's class.
What you care about. You are working through a Korean drama and keep hearing the same few words. You ask the tutor what they mean. You learn that 진짜 (jinjja) is "really", that 대박 (daebak) is roughly "amazing", and that 오빠 (oppa) is what a woman calls her older brother or an older male friend. Then you practise telling a Korean friend what you thought of the ending. Every new word is saved as a flashcard for review.

Who it is for
