You can read French. You did three years at school. The moment a French speaker actually opens their mouth, your brain politely steps outside. YaP is built for that gap.
You write or speak French to the tutor, the tutor speaks French back. The corrections happen on the side, in the rhythm of the conversation rather than as a test.
Metropolitan or Québécois
YaP supports both Metropolitan (France) French and Canadian (Québécois) French. The two share grammar but split on vocabulary and pronunciation. Tell the tutor "parle-moi comme à Montréal" and you get "char" instead of "voiture", "déjeuner" for breakfast instead of lunch, and the famous nasal vowels turned up.
You can switch back to Paris mid-session if you change your mind.

What a session looks like
You tell the tutor you have a job interview at a French company on Friday. The tutor plays the interviewer. They ask why you want the role. You answer. You stumble on the subjunctive. The tutor follows up naturally, then at the end shows you the bit you missed with a short note: "Il faut que je travaille - mood, not tense."
A flashcard lands in your review pile. By Friday it is muscle memory.
Who it is for
You are between school French and confident French. You can understand it slowly. Speaking it makes you wince. You need somewhere to practise that does not involve waiting for a Parisian to forgive you.
