English looks simple until you try to use it. The tenses seem to overlap, the phrasal verbs multiply and the spelling follows rules nobody can quite explain. Three Englishes, your pick
You can ask the tutor to stick to British, American or Australian English. The vocabulary, idioms and spelling shift to match. Ask for "lift" or "elevator", "rubbish" or "trash", "arvo" or "afternoon", and the tutor will hold the line for the rest of the session.
If you do not pick a dialect, the tutor defaults to a neutral international English.

What a session looks like
After class. Your teacher covered the present perfect tonight and it half made sense. You open a lesson and ask for more examples. Then you ask why it's "I have lived here for three years" but "I lived there for three years", and why "I have seen him yesterday" sounds wrong. The tutor explains that the present perfect links the past to now, so a finished time like "yesterday" takes the past simple. It gives you a few more to try and corrects you as you go. The lesson is saved with a date and a description, so you can find it again before your next class.
What you care about. Your team has switched its meetings to English and you want to sound natural on calls. You ask the tutor about the phrases your colleagues keep using. You learn that a heads-up is advance notice, that to touch base is to check in briefly and that to circle back means to return to a topic later. Then you practise giving your update for Monday's meeting. Every new word is saved as a flashcard for review.

Who it is for
