Which languages does YaP support?
9 languages today: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean.
And dialects?
17 dialects across the nine languages. Spanish covers Castilian, Mexican and US. Portuguese covers European and Brazilian. Chinese covers Mainland Mandarin, Taiwan Mandarin and Hong Kong Cantonese. The full list is on each language page.
Can I use voice instead of typing?
Yes. Voice input and output are on by default. You can turn either off in Settings. Voice transcription runs on your device on Android and in the browser on the web.
What happens to my chat data?
Chat content is sent to a large language model provider (currently OpenAI; Anthropic and Google Gemini are configured alternatives) to generate the tutor reply, and stored encrypted in our EU database (Supabase in Ireland). How do I delete my account?
Email team@yapilearn.com from the address you signed up with. We action within 30 days. An in-app button is coming.
What is the refund policy?
No questions asked within 48 hours of purchase. Between 48 hours and 14 days with minimal use, we refund. After 14 days the subscription ends at the next billing date. Full details on the refund page. Full details on the refund policy page.
