Delete your account

YaP Language Tutor is a product of EYE-B OUE, registered in Estonia (company number 14535153), registered office at Juhkentali tn 8, 10132 Tallinn, Estonia.

You can delete your YaP account and your learning data at any time. You do not need the app installed to ask us to do it.

Two ways to delete your account

In the app. Open Settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This happens straight away and cannot be undone.

By email. Write to team@yapilearn.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will action your request within 30 days and confirm once it is done. Use this route if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details
  • Every conversation and message, including tutor replies
  • Your vocabulary, flashcards and review history
  • Your learning goals, progress and lesson records
  • Your settings and language preferences

This is permanent. We cannot recover it afterwards.

What is kept, and why

If you have ever paid for a subscription, we have to keep the payment and accounting record - the invoice, the amount and the tax - for as long as Estonian accounting law requires, which is typically seven years.

That record is separated from your account when you delete it. Your learning data is removed from it, it is not linked to your profile, and it cannot be reached from the app by anyone.

Nothing else is retained.
